{{heritageName}} : the Three Imperial Tombs Outside the Shanhai Pass

The construction of the imperial tombs of the Qing Dynasty epitomized the history of the Qing Dynasty. The presence of geomancy (Fengshui) and ritual systems reflects that the ethnic government adopted Han Chinese culture. The Three Imperial Tombs of the Qing Dynasty in Shengjing do not differ from the Imperial Tombs of the Ming and Qing Dynasties in terms of architecture, sacrificial system and tomb management related official system. Also, as the Three Imperial Tombs of the Qing Dynasty in Shengjing are properties from a historical period in which the ethnic chieftains in Northeast China rose to prominence, they retain a lot of cultural information about the philosophy, aesthetics, architecture, customs and so forth of an ethnic group.
