The soldiers of the Terracotta Army are life-size statues that appear individualistic and lifelike. Some scholars depict the art of the Terracotta Army as grand, numerous, lifelike and beautiful. The Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor and the Terracotta Army were created by the emperor and the artisans. The emperor played a decisive, leading role, and the artisans did as instructed by the emperor. The emperor was an indirect creator, and the artisans were the true creators. They were mutually irreplaceable.
