The ancient Koguryo people created brilliant history, the major remains of which, especially capital cities and tombs, can be found in China’s Jilin and Liaoning Provinces.
The Capital Cities and Tombs of the Ancient Koguryo Kingdom were built from the 1st century BCE to the 7th century CE. The system of capital cities represented by Guonei City, a plains city, and Wandu Mountain City, a mountain city, was new and characteristic in the history of capitals.
