大家好，我是宋晓微，来自北京，在中国文化遗产研究院工作。世界文化遗产是不可再生资源，是全人类共同的珍贵财产，我们要保护好、传承好、利用好全人类共同的文化瑰宝。
今天我给大家推荐的世界遗产是周口店北京人遗址。它是我国最早列入《世界遗产名录》的六项中国世界文化遗产之一。位于北京市房山区，地处华北平原和燕山山脉的接壤处，是70万至20万年前的“北京人”、20万至10万年前的早期智人、约4万年前的田园洞人、3万至1万年前左右的山顶洞人生活的地方。
周口店北京人遗址共发现不同时期的各类化石和文化遗物地点27处，出土40多个“北京人”化石遗骸，石器十多万件以及大量用火遗迹及上百种动物化石，成为世界著名的人类化石宝库和古人类学、考古学、古生物学、地层学、年代学、环境学等多学科综合研究基地。
今天，科学家们对周口店遗址的科学考察和研究工作仍在继续，我们对人类起源的理解和认识也必然会得到进一步加深。

Hello everyone, I’m Song Xiaowei, from Beijing. I am working at the China Academy of Cultural Heritage.
World cultural heritage is a non-renewable resource and a precious treasure shared by mankind. We must protect, inherit and make good use of the cultural treasures shared by mankind.
The World Heritage Site I introduce today is the Peking Man Site at Zhoukoudian, one of the first six Chinese cultural heritage sites inscribed on the World Heritage List. Located on the border of the North China Plain and the Yanshan Mountain in Fangshan District, Beijing, it is the place where the “Peking man” lived 700,000 to 200,000 years ago, the early Homo sapiens lived 200,000 to 100,000 years ago, the Tianyuan man lived about 40,000 years ago, and the Upper Cave Man lived around 30,000 to 10,000 years ago.
27 sites of various fossils and cultural relics dating back to different periods have been discovered at the Peking Man site at Zhoukoudian. Fossil remains of over 40 “Peking Man”, over 100,000 stone implements, a wealth of fire use relics and hundreds of animal fossils have been unearthed. It is a world-renowned treasure trove of human fossils and a multidisciplinary research base for paleoanthropology, archaeology, paleontology, stratigraphy, chronology, and environmental sciences.
Scientific investigation and research on the Zhoukoudian site is still ongoing, which will deepen our understanding of human origins.
